Hypoctypical and Stereocritical

DISCLAIMER: None of the following is meant to be rude, or judgmental. This is solely a lesson I've learned, and what I've taken from prior encounters.

Tonight I realized that actions can define us, and stereotype us.

I know what you're thinking: "DUH!"

But do we really think about this?

One specific action doesn't truly express one's whole self.
But one specific action can stereotype you.

All it takes is one time, and you're stuck in it, until proven otherwise.

If someone knows you've been drunk, and then you act like you're drunk, to pull someone's leg, most people aren't gonna put it past you.

If you actively cuss, and then you curse in someones direction, but you try to tell them you weren't, it'll take strong evidence to prove otherwise.

One specific action, and people aren't going to put it past you.

This scares me as I try to think about what I've done, and hope I am not too far gone to realize any stereotypes I may have put myself in.

Do people see you, the way you truly want to be seen?

Bella Notte

So I'm seeing the truth of this song perfectly proven in many relationships around me.
and it's not so much to the gravity of marriage...or cheating really, but moreover your significant other can rip out your heart one day and then make it sing for joy the next.

Here's to all the healthy relationships, and Here's to hope that keeps all relationships alive!

EMOTIONS!

GAH. i love them, i hate them.

Thank God, I'm strong to not be crazily driven by them 24/7, because that'd get me in trouble.

it's like I'M COMPLETELY HAPPY, and then 5 minutes later i see someone else doing something that makes me happy, but i'm not with them, and i get all jealous and angry.

BUT THAT'S NOT OKAY. because i was completely fine before that.

i could count the ways, i should be happy for them, for doing something so rad.

good grief charlie brown.

hypocritically speaking

I let a curse word or two slip ever week it seems, but it's mostly because I goofed at sports or something.

I think cursing at someone, just makes the situation dumber, and non conclusive, it only stirs up more anger.

Cursing doesn't make the issue go away, there's hardly ever satisfaction for it.

this is all of course just my opinion. :P

"You wrinkled my brain"

So tonight at the BSM, in our Trinity House small group, God blew my mind with this revelation.

we were reading 2 Corinthians 5 - 6:2 and the question came up, "how does the gospel provide hope for the hopeless?" and people started talking about how He gives them hope, something to hold on too. duh. haha :)

My train of thought began to chug along a in a slightly different direction, and i thought about how alot of us Christians talk about how God fills us up, He replaces the gap in our hearts where we have previously filled it with sin or simply other people (who are not God, and will cannot be depending on to be perfect, like our God). HOWEVER...

God doesn't come inside us to fill us and make us whole.

"For Christ's love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And He died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for Him who died for them and was raised again. -2Corinthians 5:14-15"

We live in God, basking in His wholeness...for He is the only being to ever live who is whole all the way through. We feel whole when we are living IN Him.

this really made my night. Thanks God. :)
